PROJECT 4: POSTER

Framing, Hierarchy, Layers, and Transparency were explored in this project. Extreme contrasts in genre were explored as well, using a punk band and a jazz band as the subject. Custom illustrations and logos were created as well.

The punk band features high contrast, etched handwriting, rotated type, ripped paper, and haphazard layering to convey chaos.

The jazz band uses rotated type and illustrations to simulate dance and movement. The colors and outlines are uniform, creating a sense of uniformity. There is less texture as well, and simple, legible type.
