MARS ATTACKS! VINYL

The Brief & Concept

A fun and illustrative approach was taken to create this collector's edition Mars Attacks! vinyl record packaging design. The system is influenced by the source material, full of hidden surprises and references. The color palette is inspired by the opposing forces in the Mars Attacks! franchise: the humans and the martians.

Included in the vinyl is a sticker sheet of various character illustrations and a scratch-off poster that reveals the true identity of a martian disguised as a human woman. The poster's style is inspired by vintage pinup posters, as the character was depicted as a sex symbol in the movie.
