The Brief & Concept

Polar Park is a zoo in Norway, occupied by arctic animals such as deer, bears, wolves, lynxes, and more. Research of the history, audience, distinctions, other elements of the region and zoo, location, local signage and culture, nature, and park were important in this example.

The form of the logo is inspired by the animals residing in the park to highlight its key features, utilizing negative space. The form also subtly hints at the shape of a heart to emphasize the care and compassion the animals receive at the zoo. The color palette was inspired by the location and subsequently the Northern Lights.
